Grand Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan Fishing Report
August 31st, 2010

With surface water still too warm on the lake michigan shoreline to hunt the beaches for the migratory fish, I headed inland this morning to test some of our bigger lakes shorelines for bigger bass looking for an easy meal on top water. As summer turns towards fall this is a great time to hunt the inland lakes again. The first hour of fishing today was as good as I have ever seen for topwater. Almost every cast brought fish to the top. We did not find the big fish today, but did learn a couple new spots.
