Pine River Fishing Report
July 10th, 2010 Had the chance to fish the upper Pine yesterday, floating down to Walker Bridge. Contact Mark for more information about pulling out at his livery location. This upper section of the pine is quick riffle water with so many good looking spots, for the intermediate to advanced angler. This water is not for a drift boat, as the many rocks and tight corners will beat up your bottom. But a rubber boat is ideal for throwing streamers like we did yesterday as water levels were on the rise. But this upper section is also off the beaten path gets less pressure and has plenty of meadows for hoppers and all other terrestrial fishing when the clarity improves in the next couple days. Deer hair flies that pushed plenty of water in the dark water brought multiple nice trout to hand, bright colors like this chartreuse cougar did the best, but also the all white nutcracker did well too. Tight Lines, JR P.S. Make sure to check water levels before you go
