Au Sable River Fishing Report

Nothing like spending a nice day on Michigan's Trophy Water swinging for the fences and picking off any smaller opportunities that present themselves. While Eddy and I spent a nice day throwing Deceivers & Dries, we came across a couple very large fish that were interested in our streamers, but not so much into the photo opts that were waiting for them back in the boat; at least not till we did some dry fishing for some smaller fish. Water temps are rising below Mio and the fish are actively feeding on everything that may be presented when there is a good bite or any bite at all.

Ed McCoy's Hendrickson Emerger and Spinner seems to be the ticket for most of the fish we came across on the surface, I would look for allot more surface action to enhance as the air temps climb this month. Give Cherie a call at 231-228-7135 and she can set up a nice leisurely day of surface fishing for trout on the Ausable River, tis the season of the Dry Fly!!!
